“There is” and “there are” are structures that tell us that something exists.
THERE IS
There is + singular noun |
Examples:
There is a book in your desk.
There is no right time to imitate the teacher.
There is a radio on the table.
There is enough food in the cupboard.
THERE ARE
There are + plural noun |
Examples:
There are six books in my schoolbag.
There are teachers in the staff.
There are many cars in the parking.
